Ramadhan and our nameless project!

And we meet again. My favourite thing about Ramadhan is to see how everyone is putting in extra effort to reunite for iftar. Some lucky ones gets to leave work earlier while others make it a point to put a pause on their work just to come home on time for iftar; which can be a rare sight on normal days.

Ramadhan comes to life in the night time with some choosing to perform terawih, Quran recital, catching up with their loved ones or busy with the latest craze; food hunting at the Ramadhan Bazaar. Which I completely don't blame them for it ;P I mean just look at all the varieties! Wait, shouldn't we be shedding some kilos this Ramadhan instead??

Amidst all the buzzing festivities, my heart is filled with peace and brimming with exuberance as once again I am given another chance to be a better person than I was yesterday, to seek forgiveness and to be forgiven. This is the best time for us to cleanse our hearts from bearing grudges or bitterness and break away from those old habits.

Every Ramadhan I would strongly urge myself to elevate my good deeds and religious efforts. Mind you I am no where near to being a perfect Muslimah and my flaws fills mountains, but I try to be a better person.

This year I am inspired by the mother daughter duo of The Telekung Project when they made an appearance in "Selamat Pagi Malaysia" on their initiative. It proves how small yet simple acts of kindness can go a really long way.

It got me thinking, what can I do to give back to the community? So I collaborated with a friend to join her in her annual efforts to give back during Ramadhan. A mini charity project inspired by Ramadhan on Wheels, but on a really small scale. I was tempted to name our project Wonderwoman in Heels (since it rhymed with RoW. Haha!) but it makes no sense at all cus there's no way I'm doing this in heels! So at the moment, the project is currently still nameless. Suggestions will be most welcomed!

Let's hope it will be smooth sailing and most importantly, we gotta have fun doing it!

As we move into day 12 of Ramadhan, I hope everyone is having a blessed one. May the divine blessings of Allah protect and guide us all. Ending this post by seeking forgiveness from anyone that I have wronged, be it deliberately or unintentionally.

Ramadhan Kareem!
